next cadenza masterpiece by reboot! beginning his relationship with cadenza back in 2008, german production wizard reboot has since frequented the label, his solid tech house soundscapes and innate ability to keep his musical structure moving forward being catalyst to his reputable name. following the incredible shunyata album on cadenza in 2010, reboot is back on the imprint with the beautiful parasite ep, including two remixes from robert dietz and cesar merveille.

next amazing thoughtless moover by stare5 aka bryan zentz with a huge remix of noah pred. known for his distinctive productions over the years as barada, cyan and under his own name on seminal techno labels such as primate, tronic, jericho, plus 8 and cmyk, bryan zentz reprises his stare5 role for thoughtless with three tracks of dub-fueled deepness. pushing ever outward on tides of subsonic bass, >the sprawl< emerges from cover of night, a vast expanse of sleepless chords illuminating the darkness as ripples of reverberant effects reach toward the stars. label boss noah pred adds another layer to the low end to imbue his remix with a swinging pulse, then intensifies the hypnosis with a sinuous synth that snakes its way through a winding labyrinth built from the materials of the original. >frozen fog< opens with cold yet insistent stabs that keep pace atop a bouncing dub bass line, responsive chords building pressure amidst gradually rising vapors. with equal nods to detroit and berlin, bryan zentz successfully presents his own unique vision of a classic form with >the sprawl< - solidifying his reputation as a master of the style in the process.

the dirty dutch! anticlub a notorious collective from eindhoven, the southern capital of holland, was inspired to push itself into a new direction. the inspiration came from a painting by an old lady that drew the attention and gave the impulse to create the album freaks and followers. as the title suggests there are two kinds of people, people who take risks and people who do not. as anticlub used to be a risk-taker but slowly settled in an unwanted comfort zone, this created dissatisfaction and led to a creative standstill. seeing the painting everything became clear again. one should not stand still but keep moving and evolve oneself into new areas that one has not yet explored creatively. as lessismore is from the same dutch city, this state of mind also hit the lessismore label, which inevitable resulted in both parties joining forces to release this diverse album by a former underground techno crew called anticlub. as the lessismore label is known for its typically styled techno, lessismore was searching for a new impulse sound wise and visually, to ensure creative satisfaction in the years to come. with this album everything came together and the lessismore crew reunited to renew their input into the label, which was once founded to be a creative platform and an artistic journey and in retrospective clearly not a platform where one should repeat itself time after time. freaks and followers is an 8 track album with raw electronic based music combined with a variety of vocal work by different new anticlub members. the overall feel of the album is a dark punky attitude that reminds of the good old days of rave, which in the early nineties dominated the dutch club and party scene. this period can be defined as being careless and not taking credibility into account, trying new things, being blunt and just partying your hart out. being older this is a feeling that will never have to die, proved by the old lady whose painting was used as the art-work of the album release.

lunar disko records begins 2012 with a milestone 10th release from local hero automatic tasty, aka jonny dillon. the strange terrain ep is the eagerly anticipated follow up to his debut 12inch. in it for the money on ldr. the amusing keep your receipt kicks off the ep, where the idiosyncratic mr. tasty makes a cameo vocal appearance on why you should have eh kept your receipt! beannach mhor is next up,and is a fine example of how the auto tasty sound is evolving ever more. the up-tempo over the hill completes the a-side, a rumbling 101 bassline beneath catchy keys continue the automatic tasty explorations of the strange terrain. the lunar favourite tropic exchange begins the flip side with more vintage sounds crafted with dexterity to create that unparalleled automatic tasty sound. completing the ep is small hours, a rolling 808 jam with twinkling imaginative melodies that makes for a perfect ending to another timeless ep.

arjun vagale and tim richards have never met in person, they are cyber friends like a million of other people in the world. their huge musically respect for each other formed the idea to do some music together and kaiserdisco is very proud to present you the result! with a first listen you can say she said is a typical tech-house tune but when you play it again and again you see it is full of little highlights which makes the song so special and catchy. its a very cool combination of beats, drums and top loops which makes this track so energetic. the remarkable break makes the track so unique and turns the club into an inferno. the second track tonkatsu is a real techno-bomb. a very deep bassline combined with the galloping beats keep this track running and running until it falls intothe break wich makes this track even more ecstatic and brings it up to an amazing primtime-stomper, that lets the crowd go crazy and scream but all in a very cool and undergroundy way.this tune is really outstanding and one of the best tracks in our box for weeks.

limited reissue of this highly sought-after and extremely heavy electro-boogie cut from serena. originally released on tiny nyc label tnt unlimited in 1983, this super-rare gem was produced by the great james terry who was also responsible for other top boogie classics of the era such as >boogieland< by ike strong and true images >keep me dancing<. the instrumental gets all the attention here with super-funky basslines, cool vocoder chorus and ultra-crisp percussion and synths but the vocal is pretty damn strong too. top priority for all boogie fans - dont miss this!

february sure isnt the month to laze around when the new rennbahn baby is chasing for your dance. the crotalus ep starts as if there was a crotalus right behind you! the original mix delivers a powerful basedrum and deep synths. the snake sounds, vocal snippets and the use of reverb and delay build a wide and huge atmosphere which leads us directly out of the reality into the heart of the jungle where youd love nothing better than to stay forever. watch out - you shouldnt stop dancing unless you want to get bitten by a snake! the marco fender remix on the flip side takes us out of the jungle into the club. an impulsive beat highlighted by a sub baseline comes to a nice replaying synth melody. here the vocal snippets are not applied to fulfill the song with a deep atmosphere but to complete the hypnotic rhythm of it. watch out - the snake still follows you at every turn! finally miyagis remix comforts us with safety - marching towards the end, it seems like we got rid of the snake. now we can wholeheartedly lose ourselves in very deep synths, floating hi-hats and a mystical and tempting melody. as if this wasnt enough the outstanding beat wont let you take a break and forces you to keep on dancing

amsterdam label, rejected are proud to announce a special remix of techno pioneer moby from their very own head honcho, joris voorn. the on-fire producer has delivered a brand new re-work of >after< taken from the american stalwarts tenth studio album, destroyed which has since seen a series of remix packages through the little idiot label.
taking mobys original, joris injects a club sensibility with rolling bass and punchy beats. instilling his unique feel for dancefloor-funk, the dutchman adds plenty of soul to remix, leading the original away from its darkened edge and into the light. subtle melodies and progressive keys build purposefully throughout the track to deliver yet more party fodder from joris voorn and rejected. this will keep you dancing after the after!

the newbies s100 had a strong year in 2011 with their self-titled debut ep on stockholm ltd. an ep that generated a great deal of buzz before its release with support and plays coming from artists like dvs1, marcel dettmann, ben klock, james ruskin, inigo kennedy, shifted and peter van hoesen. s100s kalibrator and murphy tracks sit on the a-side, with a classic techno formula that includes both an intro and a main track. once again s100 leaves us with nothing else to wish for. staffan linzatti is a stockholm ltd veteran and has been one of the label owner par grindviks favourite artists for years. in 2011 staffan started his own imprint, searchlights, with the first release assembler heading straight to the hearts of the techno purists. searchlights is a label to keep an eye on and will be staffans primary focus for the future. staffans contribution to sthlm ltd 023 prophet of regret comes in three parts, one main track and two interludes which all are wrapped with emotions and strength.

smoohs raisin theory, her debut for dissonant, is the first of tinis new productions and whilst the freshness of a new moment is evident in this funk driven number, her youth as a drummer and the early influences of a certain moodymann, can all be heard in the warm rhythms of the original. label boss marc antona takes the original on a trip with his outback mix. creating an ethereal atmosphere with his deep pulsing drums and bringing the vocal to the fore, marc creates a special moment for the floor. dissonants italian arm, re-up keep the funk and drive, whilst adding an array of crisp, clean percussion.

its now the turn of shapednoise for features series, and to complete this ep made of pure adrenaline theres the remix of the well known dino sabatini (outis music,sonic groove, prologue). shapednoise, one of the youngest and most promising artists of the techno scene, is based in berlin, fully living the repitch recordings project. his musical background is really wide, and you can notice it listening to his productions, a futuristic vision of the sound, with industrial elements and synthesizers characterizing his sonority. the second act of the series starts with white light white head: an out of ordinary track, an unusual beat, techno futuristic, that flows into a neo-industrial sound, with soundscapes that make it mental, but at the same time a post-apocalyptic dancefloor hit. dino sabatinis version hypnotizes us, manipulates shapednoises sounds las only he can do, with his incomparable personality, rhythmics and drone evolving until the end of a trip to the edge of reality. cosmic landscapes (the tiltle already tells a lot), is a track with very powerful rhythmics, for the lovers of straight-techno. shapednoise, an artist to absolutely keep an eyes on this year. also this time the artwork of pasquale ascione makes its part: surreal, unique, making you wondering where this faces come from, maybe from our dreams.features series is a whole of musicalities where images and imaginary interpenetrate. supported and played by norman nodge, perc, samuli kemppi, jonas kopp, marcel dettmann, adam x, tommy four seven, lucy, dvs1, pfirter and many others!

our labels 28th release comes courtesy of warm ups new addition to the family: the argentinian luis ruiz is a young producer with strong roots on hardware synths and drum machines.
a release that is complete, full of force and soul, coming from a fresh new talent. keep an eye on this guy: he is going to rock the place. for his first release on warm up, he brings us two original tracks plus a remix by oscar mulero.

the see it through ep is the debut release from kris le vay. the eponymous a side is the most dance floor orientated track, with kicking drums and a driving, melodic bass line guaranteed to get the crowd moving. its also an awesome headphone experience, with involved, complex percussive elements that keep the ear interested and euphoric breakdowns that truly pull at the heartstrings. the b1, entitled melt, is a cheeky little number that bounces around with plenty of polyrhythm. the counterpoint between the deep bass and twinkling top melody leads to the unconventional, yet mesmerising breakdown. the release is rounded off by one hot ride, which is one hot track! starting with ominous dark synths that spin themselves into a stomping hip-hop tempo beat, this anthemic rich blend of sound winds itself up from a menacing introduction on an exhilarating journey through a complex and intricate soundscape. limited to 300 colour vinyl.

what can we say about this ep ? not much. this is a very well known house artist who wants to keep his identity secret. he sent us some parts of his old 90s house tracks and luckily they were remixed by our good friends coat of arms and breach from uk. this is a very special release for us. enjoy!

so after the elusive triumph of our first release finally came firmly into our grasp, we at sequencias here in new york thought it was time to take things in a parallel direction without retracing our steps. drafting three top names in underground deep house for a label debut is no mean feat, but how do you follow up on a surprise coup like that? we thought it was time to go even deeper, and we couldnt think of a better way of doing that than getting an experienced player to unveil a new alias for our second offering. things being as they are, weare trying to keep it a bit low here, but what we can let you know is that his discography stretches back to 2005 and that he has appeared on the illustrious bunker records. this should give you a good idea of what to expect: deeper-than-deep, dirty, and gritty house that jacks with the best the movement has to offer. we have to say that orpheus firmly delivers here, and we hope you will be as pleased as we are with the three dark and introspective offerings he unveils for his new project here at sequencias.

after two smoldering releases on figure & spc, roberto bosco is back for his third offering for len fakis spc imprint. a future-classic 4 track techno ep, with more than enough to keep the peak time floors happy, this is big room music at its most intelligent and sensitive. easing us into the thick of it, charming noise takes humming, rumbling bass tones and a metallic clang as its themes. slow burning and readily effective, its a brooding monster for the late hours. i just cant breathe pushes the adrenalin up a few notches in a screaming, white noise attack on the senses. boscos trademark heavy bass rumble and crisp percussion layers hold their own in this reduced killer. were then ready to embark on an emotional voyage as the masterful see the light emerges from the depths with its pushing acid bass and beautiful atmospheric melody. classic strings and synths swirl and build in a tender and heartfelt piece of timeless techno. closing the ep, i was lonely takes the vibe into more reduced, after-hours zones with robertos cool and low-slung take on the smoother sound of futuredeep house.

token is 5 years old. i never planned to do anything special for this occasion. however, when i received these 2 new tracks from phase, all just fell into place. this release pretty much sums up what token stands for since day one. both tracks are fierce pieces of relentless yet deep techno, in-your-face yet very subtle rhythms, all credited to phases detailed drum programming, keen sense of atmospherics & sound processing.
what else.. except for the fact we flipped the graphic design a bit, we can tell you 2012 is going to be a busy year for token. there is a lot of exciting music floating around we definitely want to share with you soon, not just the usual suspects but also some new signings.

this ep was formed with a concept in mind that involves a natural phenomenon occurring in various/different fields of science and nature - anti-parallelism. as the word suggests, anti-parallelism describes the natural relationship between two occurrences, objects or even non-material things, that are virtually identical and yet oriented in different directions. during the time the music was made i was researching natural phenomenons like this one. naturally, this became part of the nucleus, fabric and inspiration for this work. in genetics, for example, if the antiparallelity is corrupted during the process of dna replication it is called a mutation. this mutation can be anything from totally inconsequential to critical for the survival of the whole living organism. a double helix of dna contains two helixes, that are naturally anti-parallel to one another. in physics this could be two of the same objects moving through space and time in opposite directions - just like the instruments or parts of a beat in electronic music production. so metaphorically speaking,anti-parallelism holds a natural balance to keep it safe and stable. although this might sound all very conceptual and theoretical this music is obviously just what it is - it is not intended to teach math, physics or biology in any way. the above mentioned aspect has simply found its way through my head and might have led to a piece of music that somehow, at least for me, is connected to these thoughts. it might evoke something very different for you.

amsterdam label, rejected are proud to announce a special remix of techno pioneer moby from their very own head honcho, joris voorn. the on-fire producer has delivered a brand new re-work of >after< taken from the american stalwarts tenth studio album, destroyed which has since seen a series of remix packages through the little idiot label. now, joris remix will be made available through rejecteds limited edition of 500 12 inch vinyl copies.
taking mobys original, joris injects a club sensibility with rolling bass and punchy beats. instilling his unique feel for dancefloor-funk, the dutchman adds plenty of soul to remix, leading the original away from its darkened edge and into the light. subtle melodies and progressive keys build purposefully throughout the track to deliver yet more party fodder from joris voorn and rejected. this will keep you dancing after the after!

excellent 4 track vinyl with fantastic deep house. it gets started with >spring loop<, a track that looks to its name both for feeling and production sense. of course that sensuous vocal sample that gets drawn through it wouldnt do the job on its own, but rau knows that too and surrounds it with a warm, humid bassline and his always changing and snapping drums to keep it in the pocket for the whole 5 minutes. even though the groove on the a1 is already heavy for him, he goes deeper yet with >swearing (vinyl version)< that jamaican vocal is something so classic that we wont spoil it here, but the pumping house beat and piano stabs he winds around it give even more poignancy to the lyrical substance… we are pretty sure that by the time he finally echoes the vocal out late in the track there will be some hands in the air for this one

frucht - only deals with fresh fruits. now the berlin based collective comes up with 4 fresh >best-of-remixes< including well-known techno artists of their closer family. labelhead coeter one and his partner splatter present a smart and straight minimal-heavy-weight. the a-side begins with pure minimal power and ends in complex structures for the floor. on the >fruit side< you can find 2 more clubbombs that show the typical mad sound of frucht. keep an eye on this network of succesful talents!

rounding off what has been a busy year for idle hands comes a 12 inch from west country residents outboxx. this duo, comprised of jacob martin (aka hodge) and matthew lambert have steadily built a reputation for themselves with releases on well rounded and immerse. moving away from the dominant trends in bass music the pair have been forging a sound more akin to early nineties deep house - yet retaining a palette of 2011 sounds. here they present two tracks - >aporia< is a lesson in wistful house, all pianos and a sneeky bass drop half way through the tune. >cromwell< is a straight ahead house roller, but with enough sub to keep the bass enthusiasts happy. support so far from ramadanman and sven weiseman.
